Ulverston Contest

This is the first time Pilling have been to the Ulverston contest. Everybody set off in the coach in a upbeat mood, confident of gaining a good result. The pieces chosen for the day were:

Go Pilling! (Ray Steadman-Allen)
Maryton (H. Percy Smith)
Oceans (Goff Richards)

We played against twelve other bands, including a band on tour from Australia. The band won with a score of 92 points, four points clear from the second placed band. We celebrated with the consumption of a few pints and a pub meal.
