Blackburn Contest
The 53rd NWABBA Annual Championships was held at St.Georges Hall in Blackburn on Sunday 6th February. Nine other bands entered the third section along with Pilling. The band chose the piece 'Music for a Festival' by Philip Sparke. Pilling came second on the day, with a good performance. The third section was won by Skelmersdale Band. Pilling also collected a trophy as fourth section champions for the previous year.
